So sorry it's been so long since we posted, we did so much this week! There is so much to tell, but not enough space or time to post everything, so I will bunch this week up in a nutshell. Just follow with the pictures and their captions. :)
| The afternoon that we were traveling to Pattaya a friend that has Arizona connections came and picked us up for lunch. This was our wonderful first Thai dish in a restaurant in Bangkok. It was delish |
Wait a minute,
I thought we were in Thailand!?!? |
| This was the view from the bedroom in the villa we were kindly allowed to stay when we first arrived in Pattaya. |
| This was the view to the beach. |
| This was the view from the beach. We stayed in the second floor for 3 nights, then we found our own place and moved on monday. |
| View of sunset in Pattaya. |
| We got to go to a night market thats here every weekend and these are some pictures that we took. |
| This is where we ate at. The food was amazingly good. |
| And if you want crispy grasshoppers for an appetizer, they are readily available. We didn't eat any, but some who we were with did and liked them. |
| Night Market. |
| I got up early the next morning for a wonderful run on the beach and watched the sunrise. You notice the puppy on the beach? She followed us everywhere and we named her "Chicken". |
| Chicken wanting to follow us home but we had to close the gate on her. But it was ok, because she found her way in anyway. |
| Our first day in the ministry and there were such a large group of us! This is where we met before we went into the neighborhood to talk to people. We learned some short phrases in Thai, just enough to introduce ourselves and also to give them a tract to read. |
| We took a beach day to take advantage of where we were staying and this was our breakfast. Mmmm |
| Next day, we met with our future landlord and packed all our stuff in our friend Michaela's car. We were pretty happy, moved all in one trip. |
| After a day of preaching we ate at this guys stand. I think it was my favorite meal so far. The things Amy is fake eating are dried squid. The piles of meat in the glass case are what you choose from, then he fries them as you wait and it is served with cabbage. Very good. |
| This is the fruit stand right by our house and on the same street of the Kingdom Hall. One reason we picked our place is it's location, it is a 5 min walk to the Kingdom Hall. |
That's all for now, sorry it's not much compared to how much we've done. I'll keep posting! :)
Nice pics. I don't know, those dried grasshoppers look pretty tasty with that celery:-)
